My entrepreneurial journey has been one of resilience & relentless pursuit. Starting Afternoon Culture, my Emmy-nominated brand consultancy, from the ground up with $300 from my childhood bedroom, I learned how to transform a dream into a thriving business in under three years.
As the first-generation child of Dominican immigrants born and raised in uptown NYC, I had to rely on grit and focus to leave my familiar community for Johns Hopkins University.
After graduating with a dual Political Science and Art History degree, I moved across the globe to Hawaii to participate in Teach for America. I taught 5th-grade students for three years and was the youngest department head, leading a team of nine teachers in my third year.
Soon after fulfilling my Teach for America commitment, I caught the entrepreneurial bug, leaving the classroom to start my first business at 26.
The past decade as a serial entrepreneur has given me a profound understanding of launching, growing, and scaling a business successfully.
Serving as Afternoon Culture's Founder and Creative Director for the past six years has allowed me to transform over 250 brands through insightful strategy and compelling design. I have supported founders and executives in executing their visions at Fortune 500 companies, national nonprofits, and early-stage startups.
Now, at For the Trailblazers, I am leveraging my experiences to help you soar to new heights. Drawing from the challenges I’ve overcome and the strategies that fueled my growth, I want to give you the tools and guidance you need to navigate the business landscape and achieve lasting success.
